Our portableairfield lighting system for heliports has been especially developed forfacilitating helicopters’ approaches and landings by interventions by night inthe countryside far from any installation. This LED lighting system is packaged in small cases, which are easily portable in aresponse vehicle of intervention driving to an accident site requiring acasualty evacuation through the air.
There are 6LED omnidirectional lights in each case. They are powered by built-inbatteries. The lights can be used continuously during 14 hours with a 100 % ofintensity and during more than 40 hours with a 30% of intensity. The photometryof these lights is in accordance with aeronautical standards in force underAnnex 14 ICAO, Vol. II Helistations, paragraph 5.3.8. The system canbe installed by only one person in 10 minutes. This systemallows the pilot to approach the desired landing site as if it were a fixheliport. The cases areequipped with integrated battery chargers. Charging timeis 2 hours. A completeheliport lighting system can be installed with 2 cases (12 lights) (ICAOstandards). Each light isequipped with an ON/OFF switch or can be activated by a remote control system(option).
